For the various options, choose your route:
- Wartook Valley - drive along the Western Highway from Melbounre, passing
through Ballarat, Ararat, Stawell, and turn at the 270km mark towards
Laharum. This enters the Wartook Valley region after about 20kms.
- Halls Gap - as per Wartook Valley, but turn to Pomonal from Ararat
. . . then to Halls Gap (clearly signposted).
- Pomonal - take the Western Highway, and turn to Pomonal from Ararat.
- Dunkeld - Take the Hamilton Highway, but don't go all the way to Hamilton!!!
If you're approaching from Adelaide, take the Western Highway, and pass
throught the above in reverse.
Being surrounded by flatlands, The Grampians is hard to miss.
Nonetheless - pack a map!
